Alumni Walkway and Patio
Etch your name in Worcester Academy’s history with an engraved brick in our Alumni Walkway.
About
This summer, the school will renovate the campus gate and area at the corner of Providence and Dorchester Streets, between Heydon and Davol Dormitories. The gate is colloquially known as “Pizza Gate” because it is adjacent to Frankie’s Pizza.
Students, staff, and visitors often enter and exit the main campus at this gate on their way to Gaskill Field. The use of this gate will increase as people walk to and from the new Capozzoli Athletic Center, opening this Fall.
The area will be upgraded from a cut through path into a welcoming patio, brick walkway, and outdoor seating area. Students and staff can gather on the sitting walls and furniture that will adorn this new outdoor area.
Included in this space will be a new Alumni Walkway, and we are inviting alumni to be a part of this project with personalized bricks.
The walkway will connect Worcester Academy’s past to its future. Engraved bricks are a great way to mark a senior’s graduation as they enter the ranks as Hilltopper alumni.
Details
Bricks will be inscribed with your name and graduation year. Inscriptions are limited to three lines with a maximum of 14 characters per line.
Brick installation will occur every summer. For summer installation, bricks must be purchased by July 1.
Cost
The cost of a brick is $1,000 for alumni. Proceeds will benefit the Annual Fund, which supports financial aid, faculty, and student programs.
Bricks are available at a special new grad price of $500 for graduating seniors.
When you add your name you are making a tax-deductible gift to Worcester Academy.
